We are looking for a Software Test Engineer with strong experience in API and backend testing, with a focus on exploratory testing, debugging, and validating system behavior across services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute exploratory and functional test scenarios
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or SOAP UI
- Validate API responses (status codes, payloads, error handling)
- Test end-to-end workflows across services
- Perform database validation using SQL queries
- Debug issues across API and backend layers
- Log and track defects with clear analysis
- Collaborate with developers and product teams
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in API testing
- Hands-on with tools like Postman / Swagger / SOAP UI
- Good understanding of client-server architecture
- Knowledge of caching mechanisms and cookies
- Strong test case design and exploratory testing skills
- Good debugging and analytical skills
- Clear bug reporting and communication skills
Good to have skills:
- Experience with API automation tools
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
